CHRSITAN LIVING QUESTION 70
QUESTION 70:
ANSWER:
Is it right for a Christian to live in with a single man if they are not married?
It seems that which is socially accepted has become the standard of morals for even Christians. It is not only not right, but it is absolutely wrong. It is sin of a very serious nature. This is called "fornication" in the Bible. In listing sins this is usually foremost. Romans 1:29-31 lists twenty-two sins, the second is "fornication. Of ten sins listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, it is the first. In speaking to the Ephesians, Paul lists six sins they were to avoid. The first of these is "fornication" In Galatians 5:19-20, we have seventeen sins of the flesh mentioned, the first is adultery, the second is "fornication" The word means, any form of illicit sex. It often includes adultery. God decreed sexual relationship to be holy and undefiled within the marriage union. Hebrews 13:4. Any sex apart from marriage is sin in the sight of God. It is subject to the judgment of God. Homosexuality, adultery, fornication and all perverted sex is sin. There are four sins that will characteristic the last days in Revelation 9:21 - we read of murders - sorceries (occult practices) -fornication and thefts. We are told they would not repent of these sins. These are all abounding today. These are the sins that will bring the judgment of God upon sinful man in the near future.
Today His door of mercy is open. He will forgive. There must be a repenting of sin - Acts 17:30, and faith in Christ - Acts 16:31. God is waiting for men to repent - 2 Peter 3:9.
Dear reader, have you repented of your sins yet? Jesus says,"Repent or perish" Luke 13:3. You will do either one or the other. "Now is the accepted time; Behold, now is the day of salvation"- 2 Corinthians 6:2.
