Chemisorption on an electrified finite chain of atoms (electrochemisorption) is investigated, by the recursive Green-function (GF) technique, whereby the surface and adatom GFs can be expressed as ratios of Bessel functions. The Anderson-Newns model provides a self-consistent treatment of the electrochemisorption energy and adatom charge transfer. The Stark-ladder effect on magnetic and non-magnetic electrochemisorption is discussed for H-Ti and H-Cr systems.
