• User Friendly !!! The best comic strip I have seen.   The setting is an internet service provided company.
• Dilbert The famous comic strip about an engineer in a big company.

• Association for Computing Machinery Has lots of documents and magazines, including the technews section, about computers.
• The GNU Project and the Free Software Foundation Lots of free programs for Unix that are very useful.
• CNET.com Lists various computer related products.
• ZDNet A web site with many computer magazines.
• CanadaComputes A set of Canadian computer newspapers.
• Linux Documentation Project Contains a set of FAQ and HOWTO documents that deal with various issues in Linux.
• DDJ Microprocessor Center Information, links, and resources about processors and motherboards.
• The PC Guide Information about all of the internals of a PC.
• IDG.net, The Computer Technology Network A site that has current computer information and links to many computer magazines.

Computer Security

• SecurityFocus !!! A web site that has information regarding many security issues.  The site has many links and keeps track of the most recent security articles on the web.
• SecurityPortal Deals with security and computers.  This web site has many interesting articles and some good links.
• Frisk Software International This company provides a virus scanner that is free for private users.

• Eric Weisstein's World of Mathematics!!! A great mathematical resource.
• Mathematical Atlas: A gateway to Mathematics A site with lots of information about the various branches of mathematics.

• Karen's Bridge Library !!! A great web site that deals with the card game, bridge.
• Go, An Addictive Game This page has a lot of information about Go that includes learning material.
• David Fotland's Many Faces of Go A site that has a Go playing program for windows that plays on a 9x9 board.

• A Basic Course in Dvorak Dvorak is an alternate (hand friendly) way to map the keys on the keyboard.  This is a good course to learn to use this new key mapping.
• International Society for the Enhancement of Eyesight An alternative approach to improved eyesight.
