A recent blog entry called Sabotage and the cost of change describes how good work went down the drain because of mistakes made by people. This post is a reminder that change is difficult because for anything to change, many details need to be right. That goes for changing people's behaviour, as well as changing things such as software. That probably has some correlation with how long doing anything takes. No matter what the task is, all the details, from all possible perspectives, need to be known, worked on, and verified.
