Patricia's Work
PATRICIA (PAT) O'BRIEN'S pottery, with its graphic details and refined forms, is an amalgam of art deco, American Indian pottery and Bauhaus design. Her science degree, coupled with
her art training, enables Patricia to create masterful combinations of design and glazing that keep her work fresh and vibrant. This same well thought out design approach can be found in her sand blasted mirrors, her 'dream faces' series - wall mount mask-like clay pieces and her 'paper clothes' series - ebonized oak shadow boxes containing painted clay sculptures based on her childhood collection of paper dolls.
