Welcome
Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our website!

Lots of websites are designed to encourage you to buy products, even big ticket items like houses and cars. This one is designed to give you a taste for how Christian community is practiced by disciples of Christ who gather regularly at St. Matthew's, the Anglican Church in the Glebe, Ottawa.

If you live a distance away, perhaps something here will encourage you to consider the Christian faith. Maybe something will be helpful in the community to which you already belong.  If you live close by and do not already know St. Matthew's, perhaps something here will serve to steer you in our direction! We would love to meet you in person and welcome you as a brother or sister in Christ.

May God bless you!

Yours in Christ,

pat johnston,
Canon Pat Johnston
Rector
The St. Matthew's Website is maintained to provide information about our Parish, as well as various worship and community events at the Church. We warmly invite you to join us during Sunday morning worship, and stay for a cup of coffee afterwards.

St. Matthew's has served the Glebe and Ottawa communities for over a century. We hope (if you're geographically able) you will join us for worship at any one of our services, or perhaps come and hear the choirs in concert.

St. Matthew's is always intersted in auditioning boys for the Boys' Choir.  If you are interested, please click here for more information

The Boys' Choir is an integral part of the Choir of Gentlemen and Boys, one of the last remaining choirs of its kind in Canada.  If you are a boy who likes singing, or if you are a parent looking for a superlative musical education for your son, the St. Matthew's Boys' Choir may be for you.

Priest: The Reverend Canon Pat Johnston

Church Office telephone: (613) 234-4024

Director of Music: Stephen Candow

Visitors are most welcome, (one could go so far as to say, encouraged) to join us for our evensong services, concerts at the church, and/or participate in any of our other events. St. Matthew's is well known in the Ottawa area for its choirs and music program.

Parish members are also involved in many other church and community activities.

For Information about our regular Sunday worship, special services, concerts, or community events, the Site Index above will help you navigate.
