STAND STRONG . . . STAY FREE!

	Rev. Dr. John Tweedie - A time to be challenged. "Stand Strong" encourages our theme Speaker!	We could not have asked for a more spiritually restorative, encouraging, or progressive conference! Beginning with the worship led by the New Covenant Christian Fellowship worship team until the final benediction, we were challenged from start to finish in song, word, and prayer! From the book of Jude, Dr. John Tweedie, our theme speaker, reminded us that we are called to stand strong in the faith that was passed down to us. He warned that if we earnestly determine to be faithful in this we will always be at odds with those who were tempted and turned back. Thank you John for the challenging reminder and encouragement! During the business meeting on Saturday, Rodger and Colin led us skillfully through the proposed Covenant and Document - Draft 3 that was to become the founding document of the CECF. A spirit of unity and unanimity shaped the discussion by the more than 70 people present at the meeting. We sensed God's leading in the direction carved out for us by the Steering Committee and celebrated what God was doing in our midst. After more fellowship and a delicious lunch provided by the ladies of New Covenant Christian Fellowship, this unity of Spirit translated into the official establishment of the Canadian Evangelical Christian Fellowship as four of the churches present signed the founding covenant and constitution. With great excitement and praise to God we anticipate more churches coming on board in the days and weeks ahead. Later in the afternoon we selected a new Fellowship Council of seven members and the whole assembly came forward to lay their hands on them in a prayer of commissioning and dedication by Rev. Don Prince. We were all led in a liturgical service of worship by Dr. Jim Amy which included participation from everyone present at the conference. It was truly a time of celestial fellowship, unity, and praise! Thank you to the conference organizers and to New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church for their wonderful hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next gathering! Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)
	Thank you registrars and organizers for your efficiency and grace!
	It was a time to reconnect with old friends!
	It was a time to gather for inspiring and uplifting worship!

	Praise God for blessing us with a Fellowship Council of godly people!
	Keith McMinn closes in prayer seeking God's continued blessing and guidance!
	Then it was time to say goodbye until the next time! Soon, we all hope.
