QUESTION 4:
Is it right to ordain homosexuals or condone this habit?
ANSWER:
It would seem that human rights are so right in the minds of men that
rights have become wrongs. There is not a more clear teaching in all
the word of God that this being sin.
Leviticus
18:22 "Thou SHALT NOT lie with mankind as with womankind: it is an
abomination." This verse alone would tells us what God's attitude
is toward this sin. It ought to be so with His people and respectable
people everywhere. To add
Leviticus
18:25 says, "And the land is defiled: therefore do I visit the
iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her
inhabitants." This verse says God will judge the nation that doeth such
abominations. So serious was this sin in Israel that God order capital
punishment. "
Leviticus
20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind as with womankind, both of
them have committed abomination; THEY SHALL SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH: and
their blood (guilt) shall be upon them." Strong language isn't it? But
that is the word of God.
When you come to the New Testament it hasn't changed.
Romans
1 put this sin at the bottom of the barrel.
Romans
1:27, "And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the
woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly (improper); and receiving in themselves that
recomence of their error which was meet." This verse says that they
will reap the sad results of their sin now. What is the results? The
next verse spells it out, "..God gave them over to a reprobate mind."
That is, a mind void of good judgement.
To ordain them to ministry or condone this sin is defying the word of
God, and will likewise reap the judgement of God. Hate this sin with an
holy hatred; but love the homosexual. Seek their salvation. They can be
saved.
